It just connects to CarPlay so it shouldn’t affect the 360 camera system in the car. That should run independently to this box.

Check their compatibility list on their website or shop listing. If you have wired CarPlay it is possible.

Load them into a TF card and access them via the photos app, menu to apply them as wallpaper or via Android settings if you can get in there.

Make sure you’re giving the hdmi device enough power to display its content

It would require a data connection or Wi-fi to connect to nearby towers for positioning. If you use CP/AA for navigation it will use your mobile's GPS instead. I don't know of a way to 'give' it GPS because the ports are limited for input of such a device.

@@CarPlayLife In general the are two options to use external GPS für Android devices line the 701 Plus: USB connection or bluetooth. For this most android devices Android offers the spoofing of GPS in the developer options of the settings. My main question is: Does ths plus device supports the GPS spoofing options on the devolper settings? If yes, it would be possible to use an external GPS receiver with this device and install navigation apps on the Android of the 701 Plus locally. This would be a real advantage for me. The device could be used as an navigation system without connecting via CP or AA. If this is not possible, the 701 plus does not make sense for me. I would better go with the "701" or "701 pro" instead.

Most boxes behave different to the system they are plugged into. I can plug it into a CarPlay display and have 0 lag and then plug the same box into my Golf and get similar 400+ ms lag in audio on RUclips. Some behave more consistent between the two, but it’s more important to show how it sounds in the car for a more perfect comparison. What I’m saying is it could behave differently on your own system but that’s a risk where some can do it so well. I’ll see if the 6225 version is any different.

Wow that's a unique question, running wireless CP/AA on a DVD player. I can't really say. If you can install apps onto this DVD player it may be possible, if you can't this will not work.

Yes, it needs wifi to transmit video and audio and also touch input between your display and the phone. That's not possible over BT.

Hi Fathi, Thanks for watching. The cutoff issue could be a number of things. It could be crashing of an app that’s running on the box, it could be memory issues forcing the box to reboot or freeze, it could be compatibility with your car system and it falling over. Best check with the supplier to see if there’s a newer update available to apply, as well as not to overwhelm the box with lots of running apps. Clear memory if you can to close any processes that might build over time. Also make sure it’s not overheating. Keep hole side facing upwards so heat can escape. The SIM issue might be a region thing or compatibility issue with your network. Try a different sim. Check the adapter is operating in a region that the box is compatible with. Some sellers may sell an EU region box that won’t work in the US for example. Hope this helps.

Yes it’s such an afterthought. Or a solution to a OS that’s not really made for its intended use here. The ones with side docks are to operate much more intuitively but even them can operate poorly as an afterthought

Carpuride usually focuses on displays with me. On the surface it looks like your regular rebranded ai box with similar OS to some others I’ve tried. It looks like a closed AI box, so limited apps can be used on it. But for cost it’s likely a good entry into the AI box world and opens up the entertainment in your Enyaq. This is the EV right? So it’s handy when charging I expect?

Their CS does have quite a reputation, sadly it is a negative one. I have experienced much the same with many other brands, so it's not exclusive to Ottocast. When it comes to returning an item to China it is almost an immediate non-starter, and I am sure some brands know this. $10 off is a laugh. Sorry that you've had a bad experience there.

You can go into dev mode on this adapter. Transition animation sale and predictive back animations is already turned off and it is already off for Remove animations under Color and motion settings. It can play 4K 60 from RUclips but frame rate suffers, likely due to the box being locked at 30fps. Hope this helps.

This will operate like the CarlinKit 5.0 in that it uses AA connection for wireless AA, and CP connection for wireless CP. I can’t do wired CP wireless AA or wired AA to wireless CP. Hope this helps.

It will work just like how wired works. If iPhone has 5G it will use it for data transfer for its apps. Both WiFi and BT is used for wireless to work.

@@CarPlayLife This is not a server problem. I use the same IPTV on my tablet, TV and phone and there are no problems.

Take it off the Home Screen by selecting a different app for the panel. Or choose the other style layout that doesn’t have it.

CarPlay wired or wireless needs ios9 or later and iPhone 5 or later. Older/Slower iPhones will impact the experience, which might be why they say iPhone 12+ on Amazon or they are just covering their bases with a medium tier phone that’s not capable, speed wise. Hope this helps.

Yes this adapter is limited by its closed platform and lack of Google suite of apps

It’s totally different to a wireless dongle. It’s using an Android/linux layer so you have to compare it more with AI boxes than much simpler wireless dongles that do it all on chip than through an OS. You also have to factor in system start up time. Displays will likely start up faster than a car system will, allowing a connection to CP to be overall faster.

This is to do with the app being blocked on rooted devices, which most to all AI boxes are. To get around this you'll need to side load the update by downloading it and installing it through APK manager if it has one or a file manager and run it from there.
